Earth Gong at view spot of Mt Boogarem, Koonyum Range.
This morning when I was at my nature view spot, nature’s message was loud and clear…More of this! and less of dis! I laughed at her directness and how much my soul shouted yes! More Bliss Less Dis! It seemed ludicrous that I could have missed this magnificent connection, this freshness, this vast beauty, and my contentment with the Earth. Do you ever get out into nature and wonder what the heck kept you from getting out there every day, more often?! I’m sure just about everyone who appreciates nature thinks that!
Yet still we find ourselves getting trapped for too long inside! caught up in List Land. Now ‘List Land’ is a term I coined for when I’m navigating my lists of daily duties and creative tasks. It helps me to find a fun and clear way to being in the doing mode, and gives me reassurance that if I put “getting back to nature” on my list that it will help me get back to nature sooner! List Land can be very valuable, and without it we might not navigate the modern world too well. But List Land can start to take over and then we wonder what happened to all the other fun and nurturing lands, like Nature Land, Being Land, Healthy Land, Connected to Life Land.
So how can we invite more bliss and less dis? And what is dis? Do you know that feeling when you’re just not connected to yourself or to life… when you’re dis-connected… when you just don’t feel right… that’s dis! So how can we have less dis and more bliss? How can we connect to bliss within a few minutes and remember that long enough to guide our day’s actions into well-being?
Nature just put it so simply this morning when she said More of This! – as I stood drinking in the beautiful nature view. Just get out here! she said and it will happen. You will start to feel more bliss! Breathe from your heart, breathe in nature, and open your real eyes (realise) and you can feel more bliss. Sounds so simple huh! And it is.

Breathing in Heart Nature
I started to feel the breeze tickling my skin, I started to feel more alive as my senses became aware that nature was infiltrating me, changing me, relaxing me. It was reminding me oh yes I do want to move my body, I want to awaken to all my senses, I want to feel more alive and connected to this, and feel bliss.

Green Tara Yoga in Nature
Hence I found myself stretching and breathing more deeply and slowly. I did a sequence of yoga moves that I call Green Tara Yoga, that I do to release tension and align my body to become more present. I like to take 30-40 mins to really drop into my body and breath, but if you are time short just doing 10-20 mins of these yoga moves a few times a day really helps maintain balance and well-being.

Being a Yogi Tree in Nature
Doing your yoga practice in nature magnifies the cleansing effects of your practice, it’s as if nature is helping you to relax. Nature often gives you delightful creative input into how you can move your body with her energy. I often find too that I am gifted with beautiful insights on my life as I practice opening my body and being to nature and the oneness of all things.
Having released tension with yoga, next I want to replenish my body with some simple Qi Gong like exercises. I love breathing and moving with the earth elements and earth energies, so I call this Earth Gong! Just take your favourite Qi Gong exercises and do them in nature, literally! like put your feet into the creek while you breath in the water element and give back to the water. You will feel a tremendous sense of oneness. Or simply allow nature’s energies to move you, if you feel like moving to the left, move to the left. If you feel like bending down and breathing into the earth and scooping up fresh earth energy, then do that. Just keep your attention on your breath and in your connection with the earth elements and earth energies and allow that to move you into more presence, more connection, more bliss.

Earth Gong – Breathing and moving with Nature
Today moving my body in tune with nature just felt like the most natural thing to do, like I didn’t have to try to exercise. It was like nature was helping me to awaken and align with my inner nature, to help me fully meet this grand day. I cast a thought to how I could have gotten stuck inside on the computer, or too busy in my to do list before I had even greeted myself or this precious day. I laughed because it did seem ludicrous that I could be anywhere but here in nature right now! Ahh! to feel this ease and joy and to allow that to launch me into my day with a battery full instead of flat and dis-connected. Yep less dis! when I have more of this! Nature you are so wise!
Now that I’m feeling recharged I’m ready and enthusiastic to go back inside and create my gifts and navigate my List Land, this time with well-being and inspiration. Now I feel I am part of creation, that I am connected, and even now whilst I am inside typing these words for you, I can see and feel nature moving within me and I am more connected to my own bliss. I’m more in tune with what gives me alignment, like when it’s time to do stuff and when it’s time to have a break, go outside and breath in some more mother nature. I feel more relaxed and my creative tasks and household duties have become endeavors filled with my earthed spirit. I vow again to practice my pledge to connect with nature daily.
And so I’ll leave you with a simple invitation…What step (literally!) could you take today to connect with nature and feel more bliss and less dis? Remember nature is everywhere, even in the suburbs and the cities you have neighbouring gardens and parklands, all you have to do is get outside! and you will hear her calling you, calling you to more bliss. Enjoy!
Love Green Tara x
P.S. I’d love to hear your comments on today’s nature sharing, and I’d especially love to hear what experiences you had in nature when you followed the call to more bliss…
P.P.S … Ha! nature works in uncanny ways… to stop me spending too long inside, the rain started falling on my dry washing… all of a sudden I was outside again and feeling the cool air, smelling the fresh rain, hearing the birds calling and remembering my breath and feeling soothed. Realising that one more sentence on my writing, or one more photo upload, or one more task doesn’t have to happen right now! I do have time to stop and connect with this Earth that I live on and this body that allows me to enjoy it. Blessings to you in sharing nature.
